Day 1 MIAMI BEACH POWER YOGA
Session #1 (2 hours)
This session is open to EVERYONE! As in Paul's famous Miami Yogashala classes, we'll
crank up the energy with a vigorous, watery flow series that brings forth the vibes
of South Beach! Paul brings humor, heat, and the carefree Miami Beach lifestyle
along with his enjoyable, effective, and all original sequences. Practice with Paul
in this signature South Beach style power yoga class.
It will include a fun and challenging asana practice, Paul's "Breathing for
Bliss" pranayama, an inspiring play-list, deep stretching, a clear
explanation of alignment, a few surprises, and an awesome final relaxation assist
with aromatherapy! Expect an emphasis on hip openers and seated forward bend poses.
Introduction to Yoga Philosophy and The Four Paths of Yoga

When we understand the context that we live and practice yoga in, we expand. This
invaluable lesson of lecture, meditation, and experiential exercises will teach:
- The Classic, Original Intention of All Yoga.
- The Four Main Paths of Yoga
Karma yoga of action in selfless service, explanation and experiential exercise.
Bhakti yoga of loving devotion, both explanation and experiential exercise.
Raja yoga of practice and sadhana, both explanation and experiential exercise.
Jnana yoga of wisdom and perfect understanding, explanation and realization!
Day 2 MIAMI BEACH POWER YOGA
Session #2 (2 hours)
A continuation of Session #1 with something NEW! This class is again open to EVERYONE!
Paul will bring the tried and true components of the Miami Beach Power Yoga vibe
while offering new sequences, new variations, new breathing exercises, new music,
and a new theme.
Those who attended the previous class will continue to learn new material, but attendance
of the first class is not required. Expect an emphasis on arm balances, inversions,
and backbends.
- Explanation of duality versus oneness.
- 4. How this relates to us right now.
Introduction to Pranayama (breathing) and the Bandhas (energy locks)
(Handout provided)
- Definitions, terms, & precautions.
- Pranayama Exercises. Kapalabhati, bhastrika, segmented breathing ratios, single
nostril breathing, alternate nostril breathing, and meditation.
- Bandhas. A full explanation and practice of mula bandha, uddiyana bandha, jalandara
bandha, and maha banda.
